I can't believe Brett has allowed this broken bottle fight to continue for two weeks.

double-quotes-end.png

I really haven't been watching it, to be honest. I'm in the process of moving the website over to a new server, implementing a completely new design, building a new video course that will be available in the coming months, and many more things along with trying to enjoy the holidays with my family so I wasn't watching closely.

I've put the topic into moderation, so from now on any comments on this topic will be manually approved.

Who was it saying that Harris/Bidden wouldn't be bad for the trucking industry?

"Biden administration suspends new oil, gas drilling permits on federal land"

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Thats just the oilfield market. That has been in a slow decline for a while now, ever since the fracing boom. The general freight market is still doing good tho. There will be some oilfield drivers who transition into general freight but it won't effect much at all.

Really? "it won't effect much at all"?

The national average for diesel was at $2.69 on 19 January 2021.

Let's see what it is a year from now. I'll wager it will be at least $1.50 more per gallon.

I meant the number of drivers entering the general freight markets won't be effect much. Yes there's gonna be massive unemployment and fuel costs are going to go through the roof, which will have an adverse effect on driver pay, but we already knew that was going to happen. Im honestly more concerned about when he legalizes all the illegals and how that is going to effect things.

Not all Democrats are far left liberals.

double-quotes-end.png

And which type are you?

Oh - your girl Kamamalala supporting rioters and insulting small business owners.

double-quotes-start.png

Why do conservatives need Trump? Aren't the ideas he supports more important than he is?

double-quotes-end.png

Because he's the ONLY ONE WITH THE BALLS TO STAY THE COURSE.

Rick

Hi

I am not a Democrat or a Republican. I can not be classified under your cladograhms.

EPU:

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices

How would that be bad for the trucking industry? The ban is only for NEW permits on Federal Land. Federal Land only supplies 10% of US gas and oil supplies.

Besides, Big U.S. oil drillers already have federal permits to mute effect of any Biden ban.
