There ARE no proper words. We've been taught NOT to say 'Happy Veteran's Day' .. because for many, it wasn't, and still isn't.

I'm a country girl implant from a city world, and I believe this covers it.

Thank you. Y'all know who you are. So MANY of y'all .. touch my heart in thinking this out loud:

PJ and PackRat .. I'm on the letter 'P' in the alphabet, so.. I'll start there. . . .

My hubby is only the first two.. y'all rank all 3.

Hugs & love,

~ Annie~

Still on the letter P . . . Ray M ~ Thank you, Papa Pig. Had to skip over Patrick...I'll wish him well, elsewhere. Some of us miss the HOW guy!

Thanks Annie.

Thanks to all veterans, whether from the past, present, or future.

"Never have so many owed so much to so few" is the famous quote I think of often.

Anna,

Thank you for the recognition and beautiful thoughts. I served 1966-1968 USN and my son is currently USN 17 years senior chief, my daughter served USN and son-in-law is retiring after 20 years Blackhawk pilot. I am very proud to have come from a military family and a family of truck drivers too.

My father and father-in-law were both USN veterans WW2, brother-in-law was US Marines KIA in Vietnam, my other brother-in-law served USAF Thailand and one of my brothers served USCG. We have all served and are proud of this great country. My Dad also was a truck driver as was my son and my father-in-law was a farmer and heavy equipment operator. We covered it all.

Whether it is appropriate or not I too will say thank you all for your courage and sacrifices that you gave to all of us. I stand proud with all my brothers and sisters.

Very nicely put Anne, thank you, and a big thank you to all my brothers and sisters that have served our wonderful country. God bless each and every one of them and their families. The families make just as big or bigger sacrafice than the service member.

USN from 1977-1985 and life member of the American Legion/ American Legion Riders.

As the day comes to a close; just want to reiterate my gratitude. My dad and brother were USN, not sure of the years and the pertinent info..got 'separated' from them as a young child, due to divorce.

Neither here nor there...spent the day watching many PBS type videos/shows, for extra credit w/the son & his Zoom school . . . and I must say, many he turned away from to procure a kleenex from another room.

I can't express my love and gratitude enough. We sure DO have a blessed group of you vets on here! NICE TO SEE YOU AROUND, Navypoppop! Glad you stopped by to say howdy, for sure.

Peace, guys (and gals....!) AND THANK YOU, again. I wouldn't be where/who I am today, but for y'all's (and those before you's!) contributions. More people should know this.

Passionate day for awareness.

Stay safe;

~ Anne ~
