The President doesn't have the authority to end fracing on private land, any US president.

The Executive Branch lacks a lot of authority - but old Barry (pen & phone) Sotero frequently OVERSTEPPED that constitutional limitation - and the activist SCOTUS (with the help of a compromised Chief Justice Roberts) went along with it.

DACA? Plainly an overstep.

There is MUCH THAT CAN BE DONE (constitutional or otherwise) via EO's. Obama pretty much SCREWED the coal industry (both mining AND power plants).

Through REGULATORY ENFORCEMENT ORDERS - existing fields can be made "fiscally unfeasible" to continue operating - and public/private land or not - there is much that can be done to prevent operations from starting, moving forward or continuing.

It's not what "Flip Flop Joe" SAID (and like him or hate him - DJT ACTUALLY KEPT more of his campaign promises than most politicians).

Let's not delude ourselves - Joe (IF he gets in - it's not a fait accompli YET - though increasingly likely) - the people that GOT HIM THERE (progressive/radical left) are going to be shaping policy. HE OWES THEM (as much as China), and Harris is ONE OF THEM. You can bet Barry will be calling a lot of the shots. There is A REASON HE STAYED IN D.C. - and it wasn't for the scenery. EVERYONE ELSE GOES HOME after their term in the WH.

YOU CAN BET the Harris administration will OPERATE THE SAME WAY AS BARRY - limit to executive authority OR NOT. IT'S WHAT THEY DO.

Say goodbye to a REPUBLIC - say HELLO to a DEMOCRACY (mob rule). WE ARE NOT A DEMOCRACY - WE ARE A DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC. We are NOT A PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM.

The left wing is DROOLING at the prospect of setting policy - and ENERGY POLICY - which will take us from PRODUCER/EXPORTERS (for the first time in forever) to CONSUMER/IMPORTERS (which puts us AT THE MERCY of those we IMPORT FROM) - in the name of (phoney) "climate science".

No doubt our "carbon footprint" has an effect on our environment - but WE ARE NOT ALL DEAD IN 10 years - and COW FARTS AREN'T KILLING THE PLANET.

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

DAC:

Drive-A-Check Report

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).

It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.

Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

EPU:

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices

Here's three areas I think would have a much larger impact if they chose to go on strike:

1. The airlines. Covid has made a huge impact, but during normal times how many people rely on flight daily?

2. The power grid. Imagine how fast everything would STOP. Completely.

3. The diaper manufacturers. Envision this happening. Terrifying!

My point is the individual states have their own authority in certain matters. 10th Amendment.

With the rest of Congress behind him if there was an environmental or safety reason they could ban it on SOME private lands. At the very least they could stop fracking on public lands and regulate private lands to the point where it's not profitable. My parents have 50 acres in Arkansas on which the oil companies did exploration. They recieved a few checks in leasing the rights to their property to a company as did most of the land owners in the area. There was a town about 40 or 50 miles from them that was experiencing hundreds of small earthquakes in the area. It was decided they were due to the fracking on private lands. There was a lawsuit and it ended up with a ban on ALL fracking on public and private lands within a 100 mile radius of that town. Sadly my parents. Land fell within that radius.

double-quotes-end.png

Was it the Federal government or the state of Arkansas that did that?

Yeah, I'm not sure who shut it down. Probably state litigation so quite possibly the state.

Which is what our current president stated on numerous occasions when asked why he didn't "step in and impose" things on the states. His reply (most frequently) - "there's this thing called the constitution". As much of a dictatorial prick as he was accused of being - he did a very good job at respecting the individual rights of the states. Likewise with threats of federal troops for quelling disturbances - or the threat "if you don't take care of the rioting, we'll have to come in and do so". And in moves that were made (sending DHS in to guard the courthouse in Portland - where the state and local governments totally abdicated their responsibility to protect their people AND their cities) - he was well within his authority to do so - all while continuing to respect states rights.

I'm very well aware of the 10th amendment.

In the case of oil production (as was demonstrated in coal production - which financially devastated the regions where it was shut down by ObaBiden) - the leftists have very little problem with overstepping their authority - booth at a state and national level.

Conversely - when THE LEFT HAS AN AGENDA - THEY HAVE VERY LITTLE PROBLEM OVERSTEPPING THEIR LAWFUL LIMITATIONS.

Now - when we talk about the absolute LOONS he must surround himself with (we're speaking of Biden) - in order to ensure his "universal legitimacy" to a party that is rapidly moving so far left that Pelosi looks like a centrist (and Occasional Cortex, would have us all shipped off to gulag YESTERDAY) - don't think for a moment they won't overstep, and then have it bogged down in litigation with friendly judges.

One of Trumps GREATEST LITTLE KNOWN ACCOMPLISHMENTS were the number of federal judges he seated, at the district, court of appeals - and of course SCOTUS. They may be OUR ONLY HOPE in the future (though at this point - I hold out very little).

If they do HALF the things they want to do, we're in deep feces - if they manage to steal or tie the senate - they will RUN LEGISLATION THROUGH FASTER THAN CRAP THROUGH A GOOSE, and even if we flip both houses in the mid-term, we're still in trouble.

Right now - Bidens C-19 czar wants to do a 6 week NATIONAL SHUTDOWN (and he's talking. Dr. Osterholm said: “We could pay for a package right now to cover all of the wages, lost wages for individual workers, for losses to small companies, to medium-sized companies or city, state, county governments. We could do all of that,” “To be effective, the lockdown has to be as comprehensive and strict as possible.”

THESE PEOPLE ARE INSANE. I cannot believe HALF THE COUNTRY DOESN'T GET IT...

Umn no.

I pay fuel.

Lol. Why do truckers care about the price of fuel. It's called fuel surcharge. Truckers don't pay for fuel, shippers do.

Price of fuel goes up, fsc goes up, rates go up, cost of business goes up and it all ends up at price of the goods or service.

Shipper:

The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.

Because come on you gotta be nuts to think every republican trucker is going to strike. Last time I saw there is not a trucker union and people have bills to pay.
