Lots of people have had major delays in some states and even finding a DMV that's actually been operating.
DMV appointments, class sizes and schedules at driving schools, etc. It's also affected us at shippers and receiving sites.

Consider yourself lucky! In NC new appointments are perpetually 7 weeks out. My CLP scheduled 12/22 from early last month.
Before getting their CDL, commercial drivers will receive their commercial learner's permit (CLP) upon passing the written portion of the CDL exam. They will not have to retake the written exam to get their CDL.
I've found 3 CLP practice resources: Started with High Roads; eperittest.com; CDL Prep -android app High Road is THE best study guide, the others introduce more questions, the epermittest appears to be better geared to my State.

The High Road CDL Training Program is built from the CDL manual itself. It's applicable to each state, and we have testimonies from all over the lower 48 to it's unique abilities to help people actually learn the material needed to pass the tests with ease. I have never come across a more practical method of learning the material. There are very few differences from state to state. There are a few minor things, but basically there are federal guidelines for the CDL requirements. The Illinois manual was used as our basis for the necessary information.

Hey all just need to vent a little bit about how difficult it has been trying to get a CLP in my home state of NJ. After four months I finally got an appointment which was set for next Monday, Dec 7th. Got notified earlier today that my local DMC location ****ting down for 14 days due to employee testing positive for COVID. All appointments within that time frame are cancelled. I immediately went to the DMV website to reschedule appt and the earliest available is Dec 29th. So frustrating because I am prepared and ready for test and was planning on sending out applications after the test on Monday.
Has anybody else had this problem ?
Thanks
