I'd love to see some of the Winter Weather elements you guys are encountering. We drivers get new and interesting challenges with each day. It's good to share with each other and see what is going on in various parts of the country. Since I'm not driving right now I'm sharing one of my shots from a past winter. This was taken in the Northeast - Connecticut to be exact. This particular customer would drive four foot tall stakes just outside the driveway that the big trucks took to get into the receiving area. They would try to have the plows keep the drive clean but sometimes it was just impossible. The stakes were painted reflective safety red at the top. I always knew I was on the pavement if I could just keep it between those stakes.
The weather has been particularly challenging this week. You guys keep safe out there and don't take too many chances. If you aren't feeling safe go ahead and shut down. As you gain experience you will be able to handle all kinds of foul weather, but don't take too many chances as you are just developing your driving skills.
Please share some of your winter photos with us. I always enjoy seeing what you guys and gals are up to.
Oh, crap, wow. As I sit on my hands to keep from biting my cuticles OFF, as the hubby heads home from Fremont, OH to the Mansfield area.. idk how to post maps like y'all..one of my shortcomings.
My hats OFF to you drivers. It's not easy being the wife, either... for anyone reading this. We are all 'chipper' and 'happy' as we cry and worry under our breaths and DEFINITELY not on speakerphone, haha!!
O/S, your wife appears to be one of your daughters, so I never CAN tell, who's whom, haha!
Be safe, y'all . . . always. I really LOVE my TT family, jsyk! (even though that New Guy . . . that gets the 'reader' red tag, and 7 posts, haha!)
Glad to be here...the camaraderie is phenom!
Yours truly, the TT cheerleader ~ LOL~!!!
These are from a couple winters back in the UP. I’m hoping we get some snow over Christmas so I can break out the snowmobile but where we live in western Minnesota, there hasn’t been enough to open the trails yet.
Talking about snow, here’s a little test. Couple nights ago, had to do about 150 miles on unplowed secondary roads that were covered with about 4-6 inches of a wet snow. From the pictures, what surprising little issue do you think “snowballed” into a big enough problem that it forced me to pull over and fix? The pictures are from yesterday, but the clues are still there.😁
East of Cabbage, in Oregon a few days ago. Chained up and heading east.
Where's everyone else? Parked, warm, and cozy.
This one made me think of a miniature Matterhorn. Near Snoqualmie, WA last week.
The Amarillo, TX Petro parking lot a couple days before Halloween when I was passing through. That was the first Winter weather I had this season.
Before Halloween? In Texas?!?! OMG.
I stay in the south this time a year about 75 percent of the time for a very very good reason
These were Wednesday in Winchester VA !
Loose snow dumped on Monday....60+ mph winds on Tues. Going slow and steady.

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

1.) Water in airlines? Brake chambers are pretty strong, but... not indifferent to freezing with unwanted H2o...
2.) Rocker arm won't move w/o the pancake and brake assist w/o release?
3.) Push rod is not working because no assist to arm. (ie: brake chamber and diaphragm frozen.)?
Just 'my' 2 cents, lolol~!
No, I didn't have help .. and .. yes . . . I sorda did.
Seriously . . . I just got a 'lesson' is all. . . and could be ALL wrong. PLEASE, praytell, andhe78?

Reason I needed to buy the COBRA.. the bad arske Uniden.. leaves with the original owner. . LoL!
At LEAST Tom will get his twin screw auto back... on the flip side. Auto, twin, no slip seating.. with his 5 years in!
