Chillin at the Love’s in North Platte Nebraska. Oversized loads can’t move after noon today so I pulled in around 1515 and have to wait through tomorrow and leave out Saturday. If I were a bit closer to Kansas, I’d have kept going south since they don’t have holiday restrictions.
Home and off for 11 days vacation.

Same here. Desperate for drivers to work extra tomorrow out of another DC they were offering $100 on top of the time and half tomorrow. Had I not been working so much the last couple months and told the kids I'd keep all my days off this week id have jumped all over it. 12 hour day would've made $640. Kids want to have a family game night and "sleepover" in the basement in front of the fireplace so I'd have some really upset children if I told them I'd rather work than have family time.
Stopping here for a shower in Sayre, OK. En route to Carson, CA...
Petro parking lot off I-55 in Wilmington, IL.
I delivered a drop at General Mills, about a half mile from here. The only empty trailer available had a flat tire, so I figured a quick fix up the street at the truck stop garage.
Limp up here, park, then walk over to their shop. "CLOSED UNTIL 0600 ON 1/2/2021". Yippee!
Waiting on road service to show up now.
Can this year be gone sooner?
