Yeah your right some bored idiot most likely

A quick Google search doesn't pull anything from up. I can guarantee if they lost their authority you'd have been made aware of it through them. I quit Facebook a long time ago but one thing I always did was Google any "news". If it was real (well, as real as we can get now a days....) surely there would be atleast one of the major players mentioning something.

Just for craps and giggles did the false story provide a reason behind it? I'm guessing it was some schmuck sitting around at a shipper/receiver with too much time on their hands.

Shipper:

The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.

Thanks Anne lol had me trippin everyone I know trying to see who started it on the group

A quick message to Western on Facebook yielded this:

"The rumors you have heard are NOT true. I don't know where the rumor spreader got his information, but it's completely false."

And then, this:

"It's crazy how quick rumors spread on social media - I honestly don't even know how it started but it's 100% false."

Carry on, peeps! Have a great day!

YW, Jammer ... I just dm'ed the direct higher ups... as I often do, to 'debunk' and/or clarify things; and yes... I AM a potential candidate, to any (many?) companies when we get the last one out of the nest, LoL! He turns 17 on the 28th.. homeschooled.. smdh.

Papa Pig (Ray) .. .I just went 'higher up' is all. Did that with Trans Am, as well. Different thread, haha! Depends who/what/where/when/how y'all communicate with on Facepalm. Ben dm'ed me on FB and I didn't reply for a day, and ..whoosh! He's gone! I tried. I don't have a Y/T channel like you & Kearsey, ... dang me~!

Rest easy, y'all Western Express drivers. I'm kinda fond of that place, tbh. With my 'non' work history (at home, haha!) since Covid .. it might be MY landing strip, as well.. and I'd be happy to grab roots with them.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

I haven't heard anything yet, I might be heading to the Bloomington terminal so I'll ask around. I heard we are probably loosing the Lowe's account

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
