Many may consider your driving as no experience, or your license may be considered stale. I know it sucks but it is a reality.
How would you feel about starting over as a new CDL student? Unfortunately it may come to that.

Try Roehl. They hire experienced drivers, you will have to pass their driving test. Or you can try their refresher course, it is not as long as the one that gets you a CDL from scratch, maybe a week or so.

While companies may not consider your experience as worthy of them sending you out solo, it seems like the companies that offer CDL licensing/training might move you through the program quicker once they see your skills. And maybe this will get you to your goal anyway.

Ya!!! Contact/apply to the large carriers that offer CDL training programs. Tell them even though you have a CDL, since you havent driven in awhile, your willing to go through any training they require to get back behind the wheel. As long as you have a good work history, clean background and MVR , I’m sure one of them will give you a shot. They hire and train people who have never even driven a pickup truck.
Good luck. Let us know how things go

An MVR is a report of your driving history, as reported from your state Department of Motor Vehicles. Information on this report may include Drivers License information, point history, violations, convictions, and license status on your driving record.
Alrighty sounds good. I'll update my info. If i get lucky.
Thanks again guys.
Why did CFI say no? Ask them if you can start as a student. If you don't have recent tickets or accidents it should not be a problem.
Places like Prime Inc will likely take you. Worse case scenario you will have to do a sudo training run with a Trainer for a month or 2
