Anne must be an absolute wonder in a trivia game. I remember G‐Town's "Watch your wagon!" and the line that Kearsey gave to us and led to the new approach here (which I was super grateful for. Things were starting to feel incredibly unfriendly around here before that.)
Thanks, Keith!!
Trivia games ARE one of my favorite past times; I must say.
Yep, Kearsey's words became the banner we MUCH needed at the time, for sure!
Appreciate the kind words, sir.

"Be yourself, everyone else is already taken!"Who is "Oscar Wilde?"
Exactly, hahahaha!! One of my favorites . . . !
(Jeopardy . . . LoL!)
Here's another one for y'all (and seems a 'much needed' one, today . . . haha!!)
"We may encounter many defeats, but we must not be defeated."
Interestingly enough; MANY of you mods on here say this.. maybe in a different word or two.. but still, you do!
Have a great day, y'all.
PLAY NICE~!!!!!!

That was Maya Angelou btw~!!
Here's one that I think fits trucking for two reasons. The content of the quote and it's author.
"Falsehood flies, and the Truth comes limping after it."

Excellent !! Johnathan Swift ... nonetheless ~!!!
Great one, Rob D. Thanks!
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times."

Don't know if it has been said on here, but a very wise and very angry Chief once told this to me when I was but a young Seabee.
"You can have a golden butthole, but if you let your belly button screw rust out, you're no good to me and I will drum your ass out!"
I'm pretty sure the civilian equivalent is much nicer.
Im not sure whos diary it was in, but in reference to pre trip inspection ....."basically make sure everything on the truck is not bent, broken and is securely mounted"
One that comes from racing motorcycles..."Slow Hands Win Races" Its from AMA roadracer Ricky Orlando, were fortunate enough to have him in our club. Has to do with the fact that there is only a couple of things that make motorcycles crash. The first and foremost is how we treat the controls (of any machinery). An interesting and enlightening drill we did was walk with our bikes in the pits, and very aggressively grab the brakes. Couple of guys dropped their bikes, it was that abrupt. Then we slowly engaged the brakes with control. Made all the difference in the world. Most of the time we learn the bad habit of being hard on the throttle til we see God and then abruptly braking where as, smooth on the throttle and smooth on the breaks gives keeps us shiny side up and rubber side down.
One other one from both skiing and motorcycle racing...."Where ya look is where ya go"
