Gas prices have gone up about 50 cents a gallon in Philly area in the last few weeks. I expect prices to continue to rise as we will be importing more middle eastern oil instead of producing our own

I’ve been a roughneck most my life Biden has already sent about 50000 people to the unemployment line !!! He suspended oil and gas permits and now we go back into bed with opec !!! None of this is new right back where Obama and him had the whole industry before if you go back thru all the democratic presidents back to jimmy carter that’s where they put American oil and gas every time!! I remember sitting in line for 2/3 hrs for fuel with my mom to finally get in they would say out of fuel lol

I look toward $5 per gallon gasoline again soon. Bidens Transportation Secretary Pete Buttgig has already mentioned the possibility of raising the fuel tax to pay for new infrastructure plans.

The highest average price ever for diesel fuel was in July 2008 @$4.70 per gallon.

That was under a Republican president.

Issues such as these ultimately have nothing to do with Republicans or Democrats.

The plummeting of oil and gas prices worldwide in 2020 had nothing to do with a Republican administration in the United States, just as it had nothing to do with the administration in any other nation.

It was the nearly overnight worldwide drop in demand due to the coronavirus pandemic. At one point in Spring of 2020 the price per barrel of crude was actually negative (wrap your head around that).

People love to ascribe whatever good things are happening to the administration in office, so long as they support that administration. And they love to ascribe whatever bad things are happening to the administration in office, so long as they oppose that administration. Confirmation bias: it’s a human nature thing.

I was doing my taxes and noticed that this time last year diesel was really high compared to what they are today. I fueled up in Texas for around $2.80/ gal.

Under republican office oil and gas will still be drilling regardless of price oil and gas drilling permits are always given not taken !!! Under Democrats well you read your presidents sweeping executive orders you do the math !! I’m not into better unemployment !! I don’t want to be unemployed!!!

The issue is drilling on Federal Land. New Permits.

Besides, Biden’s ban on new oil and gas drilling on federal lands would take years to shut off production from top shale drillers because they already have stockpiled permits.
