The boom in oil production had nothing whatsoever to do with Donald Trump. The facts are quite clear.
On December 18, 2015, President Obama signed legislation into law that repeals the 40-year-old U.S. ban on crude oil exports. Calls to lift the crude export ban became more frequent after U.S. supplies increased dramatically—driven by technological advances in the drilling and extraction of “tight oil” (generally light sweet crude). These advances led to a domestic production “boom,” particularly in Texas (Eagle Ford and Permian Basin formations) and North Dakota (Bakken formation). In fact, the Energy Information Administration (“EIA”) reported that U.S. crude production (including lease condensate) rose from 5.6 million barrels per day (b/d) in 2011 to 8.7 million b/d in 2014. EIA’s August Short-Term Energy Outlook forecasted that production in 2015 would be as high as 9.4 million b/d, with a dip to 9.0 million b/d in 2016 because of low oil prices.

Didn't Trump have to scrap obama policies to increase drilling and make the USA energy independent?
President Trump's America First Energy Plan scrapped "directives" and regulations from the Obama administration that constrained energy production and streamlined the federal approval process for energy infrastructure.

Didn't obama say the his plan of cap and trade would make electricity rates sky rocket?

Not only will the Harris/Biden make us more reliant on foreign oil, but it will also increase gas taxes and probably tax us on every mile driven. Again, tell me how this will benefit drivers.

I look toward $5 per gallon gasoline again soon. Bidens Transportation Secretary Pete Buttgig has already mentioned the possibility of raising the fuel tax to pay for new infrastructure plans.
He also stated that taxing by the mile is not off of the table. In a year or two, you might be crying for $5 per gallon gasoline again.

B.s I was there when little ol Gavin newsom snatched all teams I I g fracking permits in ca most drilling isn’t on federal lane any way and depends what class of drilling your doing but all drilling has to be federally permitted when they want to pull permits they say corners were cut we are conducting investigations into how the permits were gained google isn’t the answer to everything google how many people lose there jobs on the keystone pipeline and it will still be short on the numbers because it don’t bring in all the third party personnel it t employs to get the pipeline built back to be dependent on Middle East and unemployment
Again the issue is drilling on Federal Land, not private land. New drilling on private land will continue as always.
The oil from Canada will still be imported into the US with or without the Keystone pipeline. It will be brought in by rail and trucks.
In fact, it can be considered that there will be more truck driving jobs to haul the oil from Canada since the pipeline won't be built.
Don't trucks have to go through red tape and bureaucracy at the border before crossing into the USA? Doesn't that create a chokehold and stymie the flow of oil? With a pipeline, would the flow of oil into the USA be greater, and can't the trucks and trains pick it up for transport where the pipline ends in the USA? Wouldn't the total movement of oil on trucks and trains be greater than trying to move it in by trucks only?
1. I doubt trucks will haul anywhere near the amount of fuel (in the same time and as safely) that pipeline would bring. 2. It does seem the jobs associated with building and maintaining the pipeline will go away. 3. The guy signing all these things is the same guy that was in charge of all those road/bridge projects ten years ago. 😳 4. I don’t care which political party it is, I don’t trust anyone who has been part of the federal government for 40+ years AND HAS NO successful accomplishments.
Don't trucks get stuck at the border trying to get into the USA? Pipeline flow doesn't get stymied at the border.
Dude, the trucking industry is short drivers now. Although, with Biden giving amnesty to millions of illegal aliens that will soon be a thing of the past.
I hear ya on that. It's another issue , the illegals. I don't see the merits in granting them amnesty at this time.
Like all presidental and government decisions, I consider them point by point and believe the individual issue is far more relevant than the person proposing them.
Not only will illegal aliens who are granted amnesty be competing for our jobs at lower wages, but the Harris/Bidden administration will probably grant more H-1B visas to skilled workers including truck drivers, who will be allowed to come into this country and work for lower wages. Also, more and more jobs, including minimum wage jobs, require that you speak Spanish before hiring. Please don't tell me that you don't see where this is going.
Yes!!

Dm:
Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager
The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
