This is as tall as the top of my windshield. The other side of this is where I usually walk my dog.

Mikey B,

Looks like you're at the Wilton Travel Plaza. You couldn't have chosen a better place to be at. I haven't been there since retiring in 2011.

PackRat, I try and stay out of the Northeast at all times even the summer. I'm dreading this weekend as I'm leaving Saturday morning for my daughter/son-in-laws in Clarksville, Tn. He finally got his retirement papers from US ARMY after 21 years and the moving truck left yesterday and I'm hauling their fragile personals in a Uhaul trailer to Lexington Park, Md. I'm spending the nights at Ozark, Al., Lebanon, Tn., Raphine, Va. and then Lexington Park, Md. and it looks like a slippery morning leaving Lebanon on Monday and me and the Ram don't want the ice conditions. Oh well wish me luck.

The customer the freight is being delivered to. Also referred to as "the receiver". The shipper is the customer that is shipping the goods, the consignee is the customer receiving the goods.

My favorite weather forecasting device on the truck.

Had a bit of “freezing drizzle” tonight. Not a big deal since the salt application around here is anything but stingy. What was new, was this was going on at 15 degrees. When it first started showing up on the windshield, it looked like salt spray. Hit it with the washers and realized it wasn’t smearing, it was already frozen water on the windshield! That stuff froze the instant it hit the lights and windshield. Bet I had the cab at 90 degrees tonight keeping the windshield wet.

You are correct sir. I sometimes deliver to the Target around the corner and its usually late at night when I get there with a depleted 14. I like this place because everytime I stop there (4 or 5 times now) it's always late, like 10pm-2am late and theres ALWAYS spots open. Plus they have Scottys restaurant which honestly is not great but still decent. Friendly people too.
