If you have the receipt from the DMV that shows you submitted your MEC I'd send/have that in your arsenal of proof as well. Did you have a 3rd party (Dr's office/company Dr) submit on your behalf? A DMV agent told me that is where they lose a lot of MECs. the may get faxed but, if something goes sideways, you'll get the heat. My state allows you to fax it in and then you call a special Number to verify they got it and updated it. Make sure you ask the date it expires and that it jives with your most recent MEC. Good luck!
BMI is a formula that uses weight and height to estimate body fat. For most people, BMI provides a reasonable estimate of body fat. The BMI's biggest weakness is that it doesn't consider individual factors such as bone or muscle mass. BMI may:
It's quite common, especially for men, to fall into the "overweight" category if you happen to be stronger than average. If you're pretty strong but in good shape then pay no attention.

One of my questions is, I have never been asked to submit an MEC before, even though I have been a CDL driver for several years prior to this. Why this now?
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

It's a fairly new procedure. You have got to self-certify your MEC now. I live in Texas and prior to all this Covid craziness I would just take it to my local DMV office and they would scan it in and make sure it got applied to my file. The last time I had my physical done, I was in Florida. The doc took care of it electronically, and I called and confirmed it a few weeks later to make sure it was done properly. It is just one more thing we have got to stay on top of now.

Did you change your self certification? Where you a CDL holder in intrastate excepted and now are driving in a non-excepted role? Such as interstate driving?
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).
The act of purchasers and sellers transacting business while keeping all transactions in a single state, without crossing state lines to do so.
Yes I changed my self-certification. I discovered my license was only good for intrastate driving so I had it changed to interstate. I did that in February of 2019.

Interstate requires a MEC and you have to send in the short form to DMV. 2018 was the 1st time I had to deal with it. I was intrastate and excepted due to being on active duty. I just changed to interstate non-excepted and had to provide a MEC to change it with the DMV. That was last Tuesday, my company just completed another one today as part of the hiring process. Oh well. Somewhere on your states DMV/CDL website will explain how to do all this.

Oh and keep a copy of your receipt with you from DMV when completed.

Another thing to possibly check out is the medical examiner's license, ie has THAT expired with the state? This would flag your physical.
This happened to me one time in my home state.

I need some help. I am in Illinois (Chicagoland area). On Saturday I received a letter from the Secretary of State's office informing me that my an order had gone in for my license to be canceled on the 19th of this month because, quoting from the letter, I had "failed to submit an acceptable Medical Examiner's Certificate..." I renewed my MEC January 1st of this year and it is good until January 1, 2023. I have had a CDL for several years now and this is the first time I have ever encountered this. I don't know why I received a letter like this on this occasion. Can someone based in Illinois or familiar with Illinois law help me to know what to do? I have emailed and faxed my MEC along with a cover letter and a copy of the letter they sent me to the email addresses and fax numbers provided for the Illinois SOS office. What do I do from here?
