As a woman I make it a point not to show cleavage _(although I have a lot of it)
I agree with Kearsey to the extent that sexual harassment parameters have become so broad that the trainer's behavior would be considered a hostile work enviroment. But the OP does not seem to want to pursue that avenue.
Rather, the OP doesn't feel comfortable in this environment because of the behavior and is asking for guidance.
Craig, the advice you're getting varies because different commenters don't feel the same as you about the homosexual behavior. Maybe you don't agree with their advice because of the way you feel about his behavior. That's fine. People can disagree.
My advice, given your obvious feelings about his behavior, is try to stick it out. But not for the reasons others have mentioned. Rather I would stick it out to better prepare you to succeed at trucking. You will encounter a lot of frustrations when you go solo. And when you do, your training experience will help you keep a positive perspective. Because no matter how bad your day is solo you can say to yourself "at least I don't have to live in a walk-in closet with a flaming homosexual."
The sexual harassment laws are so broad now...that you and turtle can tell a dirty joke in walmart where you dont even see me but I overhear. None of us are on the clock but but work for the same company....I hear you without you knowing and it is sexual harassment that I can report you for.
"Visual conduct" is also listed as a form of harassment.....
Kearsey is right. In today's corporate PC world, a sexual harassment complaint can be filed, just because you overheard a conversation that you were not a party to. You have to be careful even telling someone "You look nice today", even if innocently intended as a compliment. It isnt what you say, or you how you say it, but how the other person perceives it. The word "uncomfortable", goes a long way.
Heck, if two straight men are working together, and one man comments to the other about how "attractive" a woman is - it can still be considered sexual harassment. Though it is less likely to happen in this case, it does happen. A man calling a woman "sweetheart", or a woman calling a man "honey", whatever...it can all be sexual harassment - it isn't the intention, it is the perception.
How you dress can also be considered sexual harassment.

Hahaha that was pretty funny Rob. And Kearsey you are in fact correct. Not that you needed to hear that from me lol. I did some research and yes quite a few pillars fall under Sexual harassment. Visual harassment being one of them. Doesn’t make me think that’s any less insane but such is the world we live in.

Not for me, I live in a different world then. There is a simple rule - don't do to others what is hateful to you. If I tell a joke to someone, and another person accidentally hears that, how it can have any bad intentions on my side? It is an upside down logic.
I’m not quite understanding what you are trying to refer to Audrey but If you’re saying you agree with Kearseys Walmart scenario I simply disagree. I understand she is saying just how broad the accusations can be. But how on earth can somebody be allowed to call sexual harassment on someone who is having a conversation in another aisle with somebody else? Unless it is directed towards them specifically? Because if you believe that that you must agree that with the people that were protesting chic-fil-a for playing Christian music. Apples to oranges comparison but then again that could be spun into sexual harassment to could it not?.. “ I heard a song about the Virgin Mary, virgin is a sexual term I’m offended”!!! It’s not making sense to me. And I hate to get political but that’s exactly some politicians are trying to do these days. Consider everything offensive.

I am Andrey, not Audrey :-) As for what Kearsey says about Walmart, it is what I called an upside down logic. Maybe it can happen at some places, I don't care. It is just silly, I am not buying this whole new PC thing. If I tell my friend a joke and someone hears it, it is not my problem. And if I am fired because of it, I don't want to work for this employer.
I dunno, this thread doesn’t have much to do with trucking anyway, and has gone on long enough for being clearly fake.
The OP has no posts prior to this one and hasn’t left his mother’s basement in Dallas since it started.

Maybe he has his answer and doesn’t need to respond anymore.
To criticize him and say he’s in his mother’s basement is a cheap shot when he was looking for serious advice from this site.
