1st full week of OTR training phase:

Pittston, PA

Newark, NJ

Raleigh, NC to pu CDL

Atlanta, GA

Denver, CO

Golden, CO

Dodge City, KS

Hazelton. PA

Constant adrenaline rush, what a great country!

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

That's racking up some miles! Wait until you drive through the other 80%. Sounds like you're having fun.

From Halelton: Picked up 37k lbs of Reese Cups, took to Ogden, UT. The receiver gave us candy bars on the way out. Scheduled on a load back to PA. (I'll stop the play by play now)

I feel like they're spoiling me. I got to drive through WY hwy 80W and into UT hwy84. Wow, what scenery!

These are probably team-only loads, so I won't be on them when solo.
