See the end of Smokey and the Bandit II for details.
In Second Hand Lions the professional zoo transporter has giraffes in an open top crate on a stake truck. Elephants should be much the same - they can't jump.
They generally use a 69 Volkswagen to pull the giraffes in open top trailers, sometimes an old Fiat 500. The cars are generally driven by one trainer clown and 11 trainees, it's funny watching them pile out at the Pilot or Loves travel center. It's really sad for the poor giraffes when the driver isn't paying attention to low clearance bridges though....off with their heads!!!
When does this troll get banned?
Guess you were watching Hangover 3 this weekend???
PITA would have a field day with that giraffe.

Oh, by the way, has any driver here done live wild animal transport in a big-rig before? How about cattle-hauling? Did you like it?
I did a quick YouTube search to study up on the live animal transport industry and found this odd video:

The pig stock truck is trying to run down animal rights protestors right in front of police. The protestors are indeed goofy but the driver could face severe felony vehicular assault charges.

It certainly can't be a black 1979 Trans Am.
