Big Scott please explain what you mean by free. For example; what is the commitment required to drive for CFI once a student passes the training course? What happens if a student does not pass and/or quits before completion.

Thank you.

Sorry to hear that. If you had gone through their training it would have been free.

Good luck.

I'm thinking he meant a 1 year commitment??? Idk .. they're shady lately in recruiting, IMHO. I've spoken to CFI and TFI anonymously recently myself ... it's kinda Wonkey, but I understand the 'acquisition' phases . . . Tom USED TO drive for Transport America (firstish OTR job) and they were GREAT to him. Indubitably. (That's a word?) LoL!

Anyway, G. Wish you had an email, like the other mods; the big mods... like Brett & O/S, haha! (I've got one! Just not a TT one.)

ps: so ... email me! LoL !

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

CFI doesn't charge for anything upfront. You do need to get your DOT medical and permit first, they will reimburse for that. There is a one year commitment to drive for them. Every month you drive for them, they deduct 1/12th of what you owe. They cover transportation, housing and meals. Once you are out with your trainer you are getting paid weekly for the miles you drive.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Okay so it’s essentially free after completing 12 months of driving for CFI. Thanks for clarifying this.
