Off of exit 180 on i84 there is an small old school style truck stop, 2 big open gravel lots, fuel etc. They have killer freaking burgers and fries. I went there this past weekend when I was on a team drive/assessment (safety) with May this past weekend. The safety guy is an old school trucker with over 40 years experience, knew of this and a couple of other joints, real cool guy.

Joe's Diner at the Ayerco truck stop near Palmyra, Mo, West of Hannibal. South side of Hwy 36. It's a regular stop for me when I run through the area. I'm there as I type this, taking my 30. Had their tasty meat loaf lunch special with three sides for less than $10. I ordered, ate, paid, used the bathroom, bought some caffeine on the store side, and walked back to my rig and had 10 minutes left on my break. 1 minute now.
Betty's Truck Stop, Sweet Springs Missouri, just off of I-70. Small place with a big heart for truckers.
