It used to be that finding a local gig was hard. Now, all of these LTL companies are offering bonuses and starting people at top rate. I called Saia today and they said I can start linehaul ASAP, bid on a set run and start at top rate which is 0.705 CPM because I have experience. They told me that currently I can expect 2200-2500 miles a week.
That is a really really good offer, I'm at .7088 after a little over 3.5 years. The I bid on and just started Tuesday gives me about 2,600 miles a week and I'm 23rd out of 40 on the seniority list.
I know you are not a huge fan going to the same places everyday but you'd basically being skipping 3 years of work since they are offering you top pay and pretty good miles.

I know it is and I'm definitely considering it because of what the offer is and I'd walk right into miles.
You'd definitely look snazzy in red!
And they nice bowling shirt lol
1 mask, 2 mask, 3 mask, 4!!!!. What a bunch of nonsense. I would of walked to. I don’t even think the cdc ever recommended 2 masks. I thought that was strictly fauci. But hard to keep track of the games anymore.
I say wear the mask that started it all.

I have no idea. I stopped following all the CDC a long time ago. Last I heard, people that got the vaccine can go outside without a mask. I've been doing that since this all started.

A lone ranger mask with my prescription glasses and my safety glasses lol
Pepsi has guidelines on what's an acceptable mask and what isn't. At FedEx I would wear a gaiter and pull it up whenever I felt it necessary. Pepsi said gaiters weren't acceptable as masks.
Operating While Intoxicated
That's what I use on my bus , but when no one's on down it comes . Its really becoming a charade at this point. Those blue masks dont really protect against it anyway says right on the box .

Fauci has contradicted himself too many times to be trustworthy, IMO. I honestly think he's getting off on the fame at this point..
I would have walked over 2 masks too. Good for you!

Thanks for the words of encouragement Brett and G-Town. It'll definitely hurt this Pepsi facility more than it'll hurt me. They're short-staffed and Is and their busy season is starting and they can't find/keep people because the work is hard.

Pepsi can't compete with those offers so it was a little surprising that they chose to die on that hill. I liked the work and I don't want to do night linehaul, but we'll see what happens.
I'm in no rush and I'll take it day by day until I figure out what my next move is.
Anne, I'll submit an app to fab so someone can contact me and I'll see if there's something there. Thank you very much.
