They won't know it's only CBD. They test for, among other illicit drugs, marijuana, from which CBD is derived.

Most CBD products will have trace amounts of THC, the chemical which will cause you to fail.

I'll save you some time. If you do test positive, you will not get hired by anybody for a failed drug test at employment. Don't worry about your felony hamstringing you because a failed drug screening test will be the kiss of death.

Sorry I'll have to disagree with that, we all have our short comings and also I don't smoke weed either 🤷 also the felony charge was something I didn't do but I wasn't gonna spend a year and a half in jail to wait for court not happening, secondly it'll be dismissed here soon anyways.

Partaking CBD or even weed is a non issue - no judgement here. Interstate trucking is regulated by the FEDERAL Motor Carrier Safety Administration. At the federal level, marijuana and it's active components (THC, etc.) are illegal. The official test is still a urine test, though companies are free to use additional (hair) testing and base hiring decisions as they see fit.

The issue with CBD is its source. Officially it's made from but is supposed to be THC free & therefore legal. But there is no guarantee that detectable trace amounts of THC won't get through.

So, it's not a matter of using either weed or CBD. It's more a matter of waiting for any of it to get out of your system & hair. PackRat simply points out the reality that if for whatever reason your test pops positive, chances to get hired as a truck driver are in the snowball in hell category..
