Rip40,
I haven't had McDonald's in 6 or 7 years. I maybe eat fast food once a month. Even then I'll get a sandwich and a salad instead of fries. My last career I was always in a vehicle and could have eaten terrible, but did not. I always brought my own food. Anyway, I'm not nervous about my diet. I am just paranoid a trucking company will not give me a chance. But I have had my CDL last than a week so i have to give it a little time. I am looking into an LTL company where I work 10-12 hours a day and drive around 300 miles a day. Thanks for the kind words.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Refers to carriers that make a lot of smaller pickups and deliveries for multiple customers as opposed to hauling one big load of freight for one customer. This type of hauling is normally done by companies with terminals scattered throughout the country where freight is sorted before being moved on to its destination.
LTL carriers include:
Driving While Intoxicated
Update: I applied for two class A trucking jobs. I was offered a position by both companies. I chose the LTL company and start Monday. So, it can be done. Thanks, everyone. Have a good day!

It's doable. Check out getting a CGM Like the Dexcon6. My brother is type 1 although he will occasionally appear to produce insulin. He has a habit of going low, especially with high heat and exercise.
I have reactive hypoglycemia, so I can't do much sugar either and have to have a steady trickle of long lasting carbs all day. I usually eat every two hours. If not I'll end up down below 40.
Davy,
I have a freestyle libre and it works wonders for me.

Hey B,
Congrats on the CDL!!
My 2ยข, you'll be just fine. If you are as attentive with your diet as you say, that shouldn't be a problem. I did OTR team driving and although there wasn't a lot of down time, didn't have any issue (other than my own self motivation) in regards to exercise.
You're gonna do GREAT!
CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

OTR:
Over The Road
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
