Want to know what's really weird? We are pre program to process words in a certain way. As long as the first and last letter of the word is in the correct spot the rest of the letters in the word can be scrambled. It's really interesting. Check out the link and start reading the texted in red first. Will be on top when you first open the page THEN go back and look at the spelling.

I'm sure that if you're final act on this earth is concern for the safety of others then you should definitely get some bonus points from the great scorekeeper in the sky.

"driver" not drive . . . typo
Don't worry. I knew what ya meant. I am a pro at reading Typoneese. The minute Al Gore invented the Internet I was playing my first texted based game on it.
Ahh, the gold old days... Dial up, floppy drives, and DOS. Remember the world w/o YouTube and Google? I remember when cordless phones were amazing! Reminds of the first Lethal Weapon movie when the cop had a 'cell' phone. It was a phone w/o a briefcase attached to it ;)
I haven't even begun driving yet, but I couldn't imagine being away weeks at a time, only to make sure you had some change to use a public telephone and call friends and family.
Bill, I still come across some older truck stops that haven't upgraded the interior of their store in a while and you will see a section inside where there is a long line of pay-phones. Back in the day that was how a driver got in touch with not only his family, but how he communicated with dispatch also. In spite of all the moaning and groaning about HOS and electronic logs , we're living in a great time to be a driver. The pay could always stand to get better, but the technological advances are a real wonder in a working environment that has seen very little change over the past 40 years.
Electronic Logbook
A device which records the amount of time a vehicle has been driven. If the vehicle is not being driven, the operator will manually input whether or not he/she is on duty or not.

You got that right, brother!!

I forget where I was at when a similar thing happened on an Interstate. Police were reducing traffic to one lane. People were asking questions on the CB, at a truck stop, watching the events unfold, when I saw the ambulance and then a hearse. I figured it might have been a heart attack.
