Bird- One
Any updates Brother?
Hey Chris, no man Dayton never got back to me either. But it seemed like they were looking for p&d. Wouldn’t of been a good fit anyways. Their linehaul has no start times past 10 pm and no day runs to work towards. Work at my current company picked up a lot the past couple weeks. I’m going to ride out the winter and see how things are come spring time. No big deal. Thanks again to Bobcat for answering all my questions. Hopefully this thread helped any other drivers interested in OD.
Local drivers that stay around their area, usually within 100 mile radius of a terminal, picking up and delivering loads.
LTL (Less Than Truckload) carriers for instance will have Linehaul drivers and P&D drivers. The P&D drivers will deliver loads locally from the terminal and pick up loads returning to the terminal. Linehaul drivers will then run truckloads from terminal to terminal.
Linehaul drivers will normally run loads from terminal to terminal for LTL (Less than Truckload) companies.

Supposedly, we are supposed to be adding a "bunch" of day time runs soon. So if you want to try again in spring it won't set you back too far.

A interview with the regional VP seems a little excessive for a driver job to me anyway.
Hopefully you'll hear something soon.
Regional:
Regional Route
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
