Sorry if this has previously been answered and I missed it. I am about to attend prime inc and alot of the posts I saw where from years ago. I was wondering if anything has changed due to covid ie class sizes length of training sharing rooms etc

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

I started with Prime on 4/18/21 for orientation in Pittston. They had some sharing rooms, and others solo. In the training computer lab, they had us spaced out with one station separating each of us. Masks on all shuttles. Nothing too big. Now, in Springfield, it's masks everywhere due to a spike in cases, but one of the trainers posted a pic with a huge class size. Who knows why they do what they do! Welcome to Prime!

Last couple times I was there, everyone had their own hotel room. Masks are required pretty much everywhere again because of the recent spike. Temperatures were constantly being taken at various locations along with the typical symptom questions at times.
