Started for the new training week. I am really looking forward to finish the training and get my own truck. Today was a good day though , I had my first arm pump from a kid . I am so happy 😊
Congrats, for sure.
Arm/air pumps are great!!
Werner is doing some WalMart dedicated in 'our' area, jsyk...my husband gets an email 1x a week..LoL.
Here's PapaPig's diary, as I'd mentioned; in case you didn't find it: Papa Pig's Werner Diary
Best wishes!

Thank you so much! I actually want to move Florida and do Walmart account. Would you be able to give me some information about the Walmart account?
Thank you for sharing Papa Pigs diary. I read it all and following him 😊
Best Regards
Howdy again, Bora!!!
I'm not sure I could be of any help regarding a Florida Walmart/Werner account; I'm here in Ohio to stay, now. We get 'offers' via Email for that account 'here,' (in Ohio,) but my guy is on a regional/intrastate gig, hauling paper/cardboard products for Int'l Paper, so he's not looking to change.
I'm sure once you finish your training, you can discuss those accounts with your DM/Fleet Manager(s.) I'd ask, if I were you!! Our guys on here hauling WalMart dedicated routes (ie: PackRat drives for Crete on a WalMart dedicated based out of Cheyenne or thereabouts) are VERY happy; Turtle drives for WMPF, now...after starting with Prime flatbed division a few years back. WalMart IS a great gig, if you can get it.
Wish you the best; still following!

Thank you so much for the answer. I would definitely ask them about it.
Best Regards
A driver or carrier who transports cargo between regular, prescribed routes. Normally it means a driver will be dedicated to working for one particular customer like Walmart or Home Depot and they will only haul freight for that customer. You'll often hear drivers say something like, "I'm on the Walmart dedicated account."
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
The act of purchasers and sellers transacting business while keeping all transactions in a single state, without crossing state lines to do so.

For some crazy reason I want to call you Bora Bora. Strange
Just wanted to comment on your comment about owner/operator in a few years. The best time for a company driver to become an O/O is NEVER (with rare exceptions)

Here I am in the last week of training. Everything was good since I switched to the Dollar General account. I have really good trainer. He lets me do my thing, if I make mistake he lets me realize it first and after he would tell me I made a mistake. Everything is good. The bad thing is I am in South Boston VA right now and there is basically nothing to do after work. It is really boring right now. I thought to rent a car to go some place but because there is basically nothing, cheapest rental cars are starting from $100 daily. I don't want to spend that much money.
I am still debating about moving Florida or Texas but I decided to stay at the current account at least 6 months and see if I like Pennsylvania better 😁
Bora Bora, sign up for an audio books subscription or something like Netflix’s.
Bora bored, not good

Good for you hanging in, Bora. Yep, the starting part is the toughest part. Glad you got the $ accounts squared away, yet even the 'new' one you are on 'WILL' probably be difficult. It's only for a short while....HANG IN!!! Rooting for ya, u know!
Bora Bora ... still reminds me of 'Dora' ... and now, the 'Wooly Bully' song plays in my head, with the new lyrics singing.. Bora Bora .. instead, haha!
I hail (sorda) from Florida.. born in NY and partially raised there. Lanes for freight are AWFUL in FL; much better in TX. Think of the ports . . . and many are backlogged (and will be for some time...) and are paying really well; still WILL be in 6 months to a year.
I looked up S. Boston, VA . . . oh, WOW! Looks like 'our' little village; Shauck Ohio ... haha! Go see! Yep, no Uber or Lyft here, either..haha!
Anyway, as Bruce K. said . . . audio books! Podcasts! Have you listened to Brett's treasure trove of these?!?!?
Link to follow ( I hope! )
Brett's (and other!) Podcasts, for new & aspiring drivers~
Hang in, man.
Best wishes, always.

I don't want to be owner operator unless I learn everything about the system. After 2-3 years I may consider to being owner operator.
Best Regards
Bora
You learn, when you do. You do, while you learn. If you are going to agree making money for what and when you will have to sacrifice your 2 3 4 weeks away from... you should be single, care less, and homeless.
Owner Operator:
An owner-operator is a driver who either owns or leases the truck they are driving. A self-employed driver.
