Applying At Different Terminals Ok?

Hey everyone, I want to get into trucking and have read about different companies. One company that sticks out to me is OD. I’ve applied for the driver training at their Anaheim, CA terminal 15 days ago and haven’t heard anything yet. When I log in to their site under my profile, it still shows “under consideration”. A couple of days ago another driver training position was posted at their Orange, CA terminal.

Should I also apply at this other terminal which is also close to me? Would it look bad on my part that I’m applying for the same company but at two different locations? I’ve read that each terminal runs things a little differently. Should I just be patient?

Thanks in advance!

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Welcome, Michael.

There will be OD drivers along shortly to more specifically answer your question. I don't see why there would be a problem with you applying at the two different terminals. Each are a location you'd be interested in, so why not let them know you'd be happy at either?

Doesn't hurt, each terminal is independent from each other. I would apply and wait a couple days then give each one a call if you don't hear anything.

I've been at OD for 4 years now if you have anyothet questions ask away.

Thanks for the advice. I just applied at the Orange terminal. Fingers crossed that I’ll hear something.

Hey Bobcat, I haven’t heard from either terminal yet. Anyone specifically I should contact at the terminal or just reach out to the terminal manager?

Try Terminal manager first if they are unavailable, try operations manager.
