If they try to force this on the trucking industry then the mega carriers need to get together and just the country down for a couple of days and show the government who's actually in charge. If people think the supply chain sucks now, just wait until we shut it down or the estimated 37% of us walk away.
There might be some validity to the public safety argument if the vaccines actually WORKED. I was required to get the vaccine for my job before I started driving again. Then I picked up COVID when I went to orientation/training. The doctor wanted me to take the booster so I throughly read the print out I was given and refused the booster based on the fact that it is totally experimental and unproven.
I am someone who believes in science and believes that vaccines are typically effective and typically have an efficacy rate of roughly 75-80%. At the same time, I don't think that there is enough scientific data for the boosters to identify whether or not they are effective. I think the US government got a bit hasty in encouraging boosters so soon.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

Hate to be the one to tell you....the booster dose is just a half dose of the vaccine you already had.

And, Phizer was rushing out of the gate to have their booster shots approved like fast by FDA, they were told NO at that time....

That's about as ridicules as this whole things been.....The DJ's were even LTAO
16 million die of heart disease a year....1.7 million die of Pnuemonia each year.....1.5 mil die of the Flu etc etc yet, not a SINGLE 1 is or ever be a "Pandemic" hmmm go figure AIDS/HIV kills just under 1 million a year, don't even make it to the top 10 list

I actually though I was being polite NOT responding to your sexual comment regarding six out. Unless your meaning is different than what I know it to mean. Look up six out in the urban dictionary and see if thats what you meant.

Here’s an honest question. Does anybody here personally know somebody that has died from covid? Not a friends friends friends coworker? I know zero. I have had family members pass since the start of covid and it wasn’t anything related to covid. Even though covid is supposed to be the deadliest thing we’ve ever encountered globally. I know maybe three people who have gotten it and it was a fever and a runny nose at worse. If the death rate was really as bad as they said it was. Either you would of been dead or would of known ten people who died from it.
Yes, two friends. One about five years older than me and the other a year younger than me. Both lasted about two weeks after getting infected. The first one I didn't find out until his wife answered the phone when I called to tell him I had something for him to pickup. Both were in summer of 2020 and they had not taken the risks very seriously. Both had underlying conditions. Nobody in our family did but I got sicker than the rest and had a fever for 8 days and lost 10 or 11 pounds which is not a bad thing but not the right way to go about it.
My son's instructor was apparently my son's and family's source of infection (they rode in a day cab together). We found out after our son recovered and said he was ready to go back to class and his instructor told him he was on a ventilator. He was in the hospital for 1 to 2 months (I forget). He thanked us for our prayers. It was touch and go for him.
My wife and I donated convalescent plasma five times, the fifth time was just a few days short of nine months after we got infected and we still had antibodies. We got vaccinated the next day anyways, largely because of international travel plans. Israeli studies show pretty good information that for most people immunity after recovery from infection provides the stronger immunity than from vaccines but a person who has recovered and been vaccinated has, on average, the highest level of immunity.

Does that really make any sense to you Kerry? That one would have to know 733 people to know one person that died from covid? At one point we were told 2 million Americans would die. We were told that hospitals we so full of dead people reefer trucks were bumping docks to store them. People were scared out of their minds to go to the hospital for anything because we were told every single hospital was at or near capacity. You kinda proved my point Kerry. A virus so deadly you have to know 733 people to know someone who died. Doesn’t sound like something we shut down globally for. Sounds like the flu.

I want to give you the benefit-of-the-doubt that you are sincerely asking. So, let's use simple numbers to analyze what you are saying. The population of the US is 330,000,000 (roughly). With a reported death toll at about 480,000, that is a ratio of 1 in 733 people. On average, each person would have to personally know 733 people in order to personally know someone who has passed. I think it's pretty rare for someone to personally know at least 733 people. I know that I most definitely do not. Now, according to what you just said, as far as knowing someone who has passed, you can't count a friend's friend's co-worker as someone you personally know. The person you see once a month at your favorite truck stop diner... doesn't count. Anyway, the numbers don't support what you are proposing. You may not accept mathematical analysis because it's common to have an idea that sounds good and refuse to let it go, even when empirical data shows it to be a logical fallacy.

Does anybody here personally know somebody that has died from covid?
Unfortunately, yes.
My dad passed away in September after battling Covid for nearly two weeks. The cause of death will go down as Covid. But my family and I know the truth. Several things contributed to his death.
-He was 76
-He had severe COPD from a lifetime of smoking, and a career as a welder.
-He had been weakened over the years almost to the point of immobility.
-He was just tired. Many years of struggling with his health left him unable and unwilling to fight any longer. He was ready.
-He was denied visitors to his hospital room, with no family to watch over him, encourage him, or advocate on his behalf. He spent his last 2 weeks on this Earth alone in that room. You can't tell me that is healthy for anyone.
But they say he died of Covid.
