Lost on that tune. Love Neil too.
Broke down in Dayton Ohio years ago. Was a youngster. My brother and I were migrating out to Washington state from west Virginia. He had a lifted 81 yota. I had a lifted 78 CJ 5 with a built 304 in it that I'd gotten off some hillbillies. Sheared the rear axle. Was stranded there for about a week amongst the crackheads and working gals at the fine motel 6. We had an extensive amount of guns and musical equipment with us, as well as motorcycles and other valuable items.
They found a Chrysler rear end and swapped it in the jeep. Was definitely pretty shady there. Happy to got back on the road and gone. The wrecking yard owner brought in a caddy that had been a suicide by shotgun in, not cleaned, asked us if we wanted to purchase. Explicative no was our reply. Interesting town.
Yeah, Dayton is a CRAP town, anymore...sadly.
We keep OUT of that city; Vandalia (nearby burbs) is home to Chewy (the pet company) and that's as near as we go to deliver corrugated, LoL!
Re: that tune >> One Tin Soldier
I'm really showing my age . . . I know. I grew up listening to ALL sorts of music. ALL. Even Lawrence Welk, sadly!!!
Here's me: She's got a roof that don't leak, When the rain's pouring down, She's got a place I can sleep, Where I'm safe and sound . . . . ;)

ps: That's an OLD one, too!
Operating While Intoxicated
Delbert McClinton? Wow! I have to throw out an oldie. "I want to be in matrimony w the girl who serves spumoni" Or "One of these days Im going to dance w the evil jesus"
Yep, Delbert! Love his trucker tunes!!!!
Angelina will be your Cara Mia at the Pizzeria ! (Every Italian girl from NY knows that one!)
The 2nd one . . . Pink Floyd "One of these Days?" If so, the REAL words are: "One of these Days I'm Gonna Cut you into Little Pieces!!!"
LoL~

ps: "I told myself that you were RIGHT for me, but felt so LONELY in your company." (????) This one's 10 years old; 'newish.' Classic, tho!!
Listen closely. Its been a debate. It says "....dance w the evil jesus"! A youtube video of Gilmour doing it solo solidified it for me. I am trying to find the link.

I'd LOVE that link. Yeah, it's been 'misheard' almost as much as Zeppelin.
You got me 'looking' and I found this. Who knows, tho!

ps: Did you get the song in my prior ps:? LoL...

Nor am I; but THAT song 'STUCK' with me, for some reason. The 'You didn't have to CUT ME OFF' part lingers, haha! (Gotye!)
Well, I can't find the Gilmour vid either, but my other half agrees with you on the verbage . . . and I sure as heck DID reach out to the 'boyz' on a tweet; doubt I'll hear back, but I'm curious like that, haha!
Next? Where's Davy, too??
"So you can wipe off that grin, I know where you've been.... It's all been a pack of lies!!!" My kid plays the drum solo in this. I'm enamored when he does!!! He won't let me share the vid, dangit. Nice arsk set of Zildjan (sp?) drums, too!!!

Need a name that tune category. -"Calling all my demons now to let me go, I need something give me something wonderful" This is lyrics from one of my favorite songs. Check it out! Love and Hate by Michael Kiawanuka.
