Yep, had USN'S looking @ Washington Courthouse (Ohio) this morning before my driver dude left, haha!

Seems like we missed the 03/21 event... when they opened. Only hired 125. Dang. :(

We (I?) Ignored/skimmed emails. None lately.

Walmart's website says they are hiring in Washington Courthouse, with an $8k sign on bonus too.

Bolingbrook is hiring too.

With Walmart really trying to expand the private fleet now, getting hired on is easier than ever. They are also doing away with some things that have kept potential drivers away, such as slip seating and the stupid phone policy.

I swear I'm not trying to sound like a recruiter haha.

HOLYWOW!! REALLY ?!?!? Bolingbrook is Cincy .. aka: 3 hours. WCH .. under an hour~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chatter for the am!! (Is your email in your profile?!? haha!)

I'm searching now! Thanks, man.

TYSM!!

Through market research and surveys, WM has learned that the #1 reason they are having difficulty attracting new drivers is the slip seating policy, particularly with the sleeper cabs.

I wouldn't be ok with slip seating a sleeper. It sounds gross and like a lot of extra unnecessary work.

Slip seating a sleeper was thankfully something that didn't happen often. Most runs have an assigned truck, so if you won that bid for the year you had that truck for the year. But day drivers could use your truck on your off days.

"Extra board" drivers would sometimes have to switch trucks on a weekly basis. That's where the biggest complaints came from. WM provides mattress liners, and drivers are required to clean the truck upon exiting. And when I say clean, I mean super clean. These slip seat sleepers are immaculate.

However, I get it. I was never happy with split seating a sleeper. Thankfully I've been in my same truck for a long time now.

Banks!

You just reminded 'usn's' that you RODE WITH G. Any way you could entice him back? Some of us know there's been a game changer. I'm not tagging GreyBeard ... LoL!

If nothing else; please wish him well. It SUCKS TO LOSE HIS WIT & WISDOM.

Thanks!

I have spoken to G Town in a while and I wouldn't feel right contacting him just to come back to the forum. I'm sure he has his reasons for not being here, but I don't want to pry.

Agreed.

G is doing well and made a conscious choice to back away from the forum. I respect that choice.
