Thanks Anne. I don’t think I have any relatives in Tn but who knows. My dad was a Door to door vacuum salesman at one point and was fairly successful 😂🤣

Here is my view at work this morning

Love the pic!

Ya look cold, but 'HAPPY!!!' That matters most. Seems you've lost a year or two, getting off the DG. Kudos to EF for doing it as long as you had (and that's the other half's words; I don't talk like that! ((haha!)) !)

For S's and G's .... read this: Really thought it was a bro or cousin or .. might be? EMA & Troopers dig out T/T's!

Best wishes again, man. Much earned.

~ Anne & Tom ~

ps: My dad was a 'door to door' X'ray tech... so, I hear ya there. I've got 'siblings.....' LoL.

It’s going pretty well so far Harvey. I am currently in the certification process to be an instructor at a pretty good (IMO) CDL school. It’s taking some getting used too but I genuinely enjoy teaching. I figured I might as well pass on some of that hard earned DG backing knowledge to others lol

That's great, I thought you've done a great job communicating your experiences in the past and think you should have some valuable experience to let these students know how to deal with many of the unpredictable events they can run into. You might not get that much physical work with that type of work but I'm sure you'll find a way to keep in shape. Good luck!

PapaPig,

I agree with everyone here that your contribution to new drivers is as valuable as any information and training that a new driver could ask for. Your dedication, knowledge and completion of each DG load you had in the most extreme conditions is a tribute to your character and professionalism. I will always be a dedicated follower of your posts.

Thanks guys. I appreciate all the kind comments and well wishes. I don’t consider myself all that good. I had some luck and wore the tread down on a lot of good work boots by all of the damn GOALing . Lol It’s a process to get certified in the state I am teaching in but I have some pretty good dudes that are showing me the way and what’s expected. Pitching a full form pretrip, coupling system and in cab in front of students ins way more nerve wracking than getting the initial cdl. That and being evaluated at the same time. Sheesh. I wanted to start shaking like a hound dog crapping a peach seed but got over it and was able to get through it without looking like too much of an idiot lol.

Oy, mi mano!!

Just 'cruising' the site . . . and realized.. you've not UPDATED how THIS is going for you?!?!? With the new ELDT training/regs and all.... just .. wondering!

Most of y'all that become trainers... FADE AWAY! (ie: Erroll V., Big T., Daniel B., and 'Rainy' waivers in & out!)

Hope it's all you hoped for, and more!!
