Welcome to Trucking Truth!
A beginner will not make $95,000 a year. Your $45,000 is more on track of what a beginner will make his first year or two.
How long have you been driving? Have you fulfilled your obligations with the company that trained you or hired you after a private school?

Hello Rich, and welcome to Trucking Truth!
I wish we knew how experienced you are. You show to be a member here for almost eight years! That's great, but I don't recall hearing from you until today. Are you just getting started? I am going to assume that is the case. If that assumption is correct, then I am also going to assume that this following statement is an exaggeration on your part...
I was promised $95,000 a year
Now, you might have been told, "Our drivers make up to $95,000 per year," or something along that line, but to take information like that and consider it a promise made to you is very much a big rookie mistake. Nobody makes promises like that and here is why. Trucking is a performance based job. You make what you earn. That is how mileage pay works. If you make $45,000 dollars this year then that is the result of your performance. You will have to give a $95,000 dollar performance if you expect to earn that much. There is a big difference in those two dollar amounts and a really big difference in the level of productivity it takes to get up in those higher dollar amounts.
Changing companies will not help you improve your performance. You made a reference to only doing 2,000 miles per week. How are you doing on managing your time efficiently? How often are you needing to do a reset, or how often are you bumping up against your 70 hours?
GP Transco would definitely fall under the "good paying honest company" banner in my opinion. I think you have got to re-evaluate what your approach is going to be. My advice would be to stay at GP Transco and figure out how to make things work better. It sounds to me like you are a frustrated newbie who doesn't really understand the problems that are hindering you. I think there is a lot you could do to improve your situation and none of them have anything to do with having someone else's name on the truck's door.

Gp Transco advertises base pay of .60 cpm plus accessorial pay(??). Up to .66cpm. 2500 miles a week at .60 is 78k Have you driven w them a full year? What is your average weekly miles?
Drivers are often paid by the mile and it's given in cents per mile, or cpm.
Ok, I saw another post by you discussing miles. 2000 miles per week. If thats in 7 days w a 34 reset every week . Thats about 51,300 a year. I cant explain in words my formula but if you work 7 days w 34 reset its not multiplied by 52. Talk w dispatch or dm to see how to run more miles. I have not heard too many negatives on gp transco.
Rich, I Googled GP transco and came up with this. They run approximately 400 trucks.
I have found most recruiters to be quite open and honest about what they provide and expect. In most cases the recruit hasn't paid attention and thought more was promised. In your case I'd ask you to look honestly at why you only get 2000 miles per week. It may well be thats all you are currently capable of running. It is to the companies advantage to run you as many miles as they can so them being the problem is not likely. You most likely are doing something wrong. We will never really know since we only have one side of the equation here. Self reflection is my advice to you, if in fact you are the problem then changing companies will not help you. Every time I hear a story like yours the story teller is at fault for the lack of miles or income.

Spot on, Mikey.
I did a bit of research, too. Doubt the O/P will come back, but he's gotten some sage advice. We interact with GP/T drivers often, and don't hear many (if any!) ruckus.
So well spoken, good sir.

For info purposes.... GP only hires with at least one year experience. Their actual.pay rate is 58cpm with an added 2cpm for a driver facing camera.
I have known drivers who love working there and who hate it. Some came to prime, others left companies to go to GP and enjoyed. When my mother died I considered them and was not impressed enough to make a jump from prime. While they do offer some things (could have gotten me home every two weeks due to my location) I wouldn't have had the freedom I have now
What is important to one driver is not to another

Don't understand why folks feel the need to lie. Nobody promise you 95k. What you will make is going to be up to you at any company. I been at gp for 11 months and it took me 6 months to really prove myself. Now I basically run spot market and choose my loads with my dm. My average loads are 900 miles and do 3/4 per week. I have even been able to negotiate built-in layover or extra miles due to different situations I foresee. Instead of making excuses you need to focus on being a better at your craft.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
I had an employee tell he needed more money, was considering leaving. I was lucky to get more than 3 consecutively days out of him. In fact, I had nicknamed him part time it was so bad. I remember telling him that if he could work full 6 day weeks for the next month that his checks would probably double in size. He quit about a week later lol.

I fell for the lines of the GP Transco recruiter. I can't believe there are websites saying that they are the highest-paying company to work for. I was promised $95,000 a year and I will not make over $45,000 this year. I know recruiters are the equivalent of a diet pill commercial but I'm looking for a company for the long-term that pays well and gives you plenty of miles and doesn't lie to you. I have no tickets and no accidents.
