Its a scary buzz when you pass. You are excited, thrilled, ready to brag(which you should) at the same time---oh crap I am going to be the pilot of 80,000 lbs!!! Congrats! who do you plan to drive for?

Oh I’m so excited, and now the fear is setting in 😂😂😂 I’m up for the challenge though I’m looking at this smaller company here in the springs, a local position having me go between Pueblo and Denver daily. They start out at $23 but you get raises quickly, the hours are between 7am-5pm Monday-Friday so that’s perfect with my kids’ schedules. They’re called Fackler, super excited to start this journey!

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
