shocked.png Hello Marten! I like what I am reading. I have only driven for team operations. Smaller companies 70 trucks or so. I might look into them. Lets see what the day brings.

Marten does not have a training program! I do not suggest this company for a newer driver! A driver that went through orientation with me, just lost his job! He had 4 months of flatbed experience, never pulled dry, or reefer. Having a box behind u makes a difference in backing. He backed into a truck on passenger side , 3 points x 3 =9 , admitted no seat belt 9 more points , 18 points on accident only allowed 12, fired with accident gonna be hard to find another company! I do like getting 17 % tax free money at prime it was only 6% to 7% .

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Reefer:

A refrigerated trailer.

Two things jump out here...

- your friend did not G.O.A.L. In most companies it’s policy to get out and look, especially with novice level experience. 30 seconds. That’s all the time it would have taken to see impact was imminent.

- no seat belt. That too is policy. Policy violations regarding safety are taken seriously and typically dealt with a penalty if some sorts.

- I think there is more to this story.

He knew all of the above before said situation presented itself. Is Marten a good company for an inexperienced driver? Based on what you presented? I don’t see why not. No matter what company he or she worked for, there would have been accountability and consequences for what happened. It was preventable!
