This is a perfectly valid question so no worries.
I've crossed in and out of Canada, loaded and empty, but not since the hysteria was instigated.
Is anyone here being affected by the cross-border vaccine mandate Canada has going into effect?
Yes, my outfit is affected. The advice I got on this site when I brought it up was to get the vaccine or quit. Got the impression that since it affects such a small minority of drivers, it’s not a big deal.

Yea, it is a small group, but my company has a Canadian division that crosses multiple times daily so we're being impacted like crazy...
The US is now advising US citizens against traveling to Canada. Will Mexico be next, and will Mexico and Canada advise against Their citizens traveling to the US? Too bad that the US has become less self sufficient and depends on goods coming across the border.

CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
- Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
- Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
As a retired Army vet living in Mexico with a baby on the way actually kind of interested in how you even get cross border jobs? I already have a passport and my SENTRI, just need to do a school because I've been out far to long to do the waiver (was a 92F)
