The Midwest freedom convoy will depart Sioux City IA at 4am, stop for breakfast I Altoona (des moines) around 815am and head east on I80 around 9am. State Patrol is confident they won't be blocking traffic during their demonstration. I'll probably take a route that day to avoid I80.

Oh goody! Guess who will be on I-80 tomorrow morning???

My bad i forgot to include its SATURDAY.

Read a local news story about it yesterday otherwise I haven't heard anything else about this one so who knows how big it is in comparison to the others.

That's good news for me to hear! I'll be in Idaho by Saturday evening. I will be heading west as a convoy of 1.

Thinking on this latest convoy some, these trucks are going to DC to protest the vax mandates, which are being lifted all over. Seems too late as I see it. The elections are coming up in November, so the left will attempt to make this national problem they created suddenly "be cured". "See the Dims really are the solution to all your problems! Blah, blag, blah...." Invent problems then create solutions for the ignorant masses. All the while taxing the hell out of everyone that works in order to pay for it. Same old playbook of the party, which is coupled with mainstream media outlets and social media, extolling the virtues (lies) of their agenda.

The last protest convoy that went to DC, upset about all the regulations and lack of truck parking, as I remember? How was that time well spent? Another waste of time and fuel, just as this one IMO...

HEAR HEAR! Time to stop pandering like we havebeen taught by the garbage education they teach but nothing about success and happiness in the real world.

"Protest peacefully and keep the goods moving don’t be like BLM or antifa and block roads and trample on other’s Constitutional rights."

And for Goodness' sake, DON'T throw any tea in the water.

Unfortunately, NOT doing anything that would be construed as trampling on others' rights is how we've gotten into this predicament. I'm not advocating violence, but how much of a beat-down are the citizens supposed to take? Even here in The U.S.A. we're supposed to be a Representative Republic. But what to do when the representatives no longer represent the governed? Look at how the government protects itself, but allows rampant crimes against the citizens. E.g. protecting The Capitol vs. the Southern Boarder.

Blockading may not be the best answer. Heck, it may not even be the right answer. But, notice the dictates that are coming down? The governments (in Canada and U.S.A) are not even negotiating with opposing points of view, they're saying do it their way or suffer.

To all who say we can't win these battles I say; THANK GOD the Patriots of 1776 didn't give up so easily!

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices

Victor, just a question, no flames necessary... from a hypothetical perspective which of the first articles in the Bill of Rights should we allow to be trampled first?

First? Tenth? Fourth and Fifth? Second? Third?

I gave over half of my life defending YOUR Rights, and the rights of every other person in this country, both sides of the aisle - Tramp supporters, Hollery and Barnie supporters, Westboro Baptists, family of service members killed in the sandbox, bikers, Birkenstockers, Vets, War Protesters, et al. All of them. Proudly.

Your premise does have me wonder which RIGHT should we allow someone with a different opinion to trample, while we advocate trampling theirs?

This is the spiky underside of the Republic we live in. Worthy of discussion in a purely academic, non-partisan "Those Who Shall Not Be Named" type of discussion. Not about the personalities involved, but about the civil liberties involved.

YAMMD. Probably does. Still respect you as a fellow brother or sister on the road.

I feel sorry for the few actual truckers involved in the Canadian protest, too much time spent on youtube can make victims of anyone. I still see some of the trucks that fled Ottawa bobtailing up and down the 401 with their placards on but I quit supporting them about 2 minutes after I heard the first one talk and I really did try to rationalize what was going on. I run into people who come from a different reality more and more these days. I listen and hope for something that I havent heard before but the standard paranoid rhetoric just gives them away and I have to leave. I feel they have insulted our flag and embarrassed our country.

"Bobtailing" means you are driving a tractor without a trailer attached.
