Have any of you experienced this? I am sidelined until Tuesday. Got a follow up with the PCP on Monday. I know things will be okay. Just wondering if anyone else has fallen ill from this?

Doctor diagnosed and how confident that's an accurate diagnosis?

I have Crohns and Ulcerative Colitis and it wasn't the most fun thing to experience in the beginning. With routine tests and medication it is somewhat controllable. I have had 1 surgery for a diseased section of small intestine from it and weight loss of 50 lbs. in a month's time twice but I have lived with it for over 40 years. Medicine, diet, exercise and testing and hopefully you will be able to tolerate it. Good luck.

TWIC:

Transportation Worker Identification Credential

Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.

Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

About as accurate as you can get with a CT Scan and IV contrast. Lights your guts up like a Christmas tree on the scanner.

And yessir, I do feel fine today although tired :-)

Really sorry to hear that. I've dealt with it in the clinic and in ER when people have flares. It hurts.

This one was a little different though. No autoimmune stuff. I think it was self inflicted from dehydration and constipation. Going to have to change things up a little when I roll next week.

Summer is here and securement in the heat adds a layer of challenges that caught me a bit by surprise.

Left lower quadrant pain. Nausea. Typical stuff for that diagnosis. I've diagnosed it clinically many times. Wasn't hard to narrow things down and know that I needed some kind of treatment.

I'll have to be more careful to control the things I can and avoid a flare. Important to stay hydrated for starters. Flatbedding world.....easy to get on the dry side of things during the summer.

Nope I haven't had that but I have severe asthma with chronic bronchitis. So I have been benched a few times. Hope you get well soon :)
