OMG!!!! Thanks turtle you hit the nail on the head.
Senior I tried that last year and discovered I’m not cut out for it. I had 2 trucks for a year and a half. Did ok, but far more headaches than I decided I wanted to put up with. We sold the second truck and went back to basics, and yes I kept the ole Pete and sold the volvo. Only reason was for my sanity. Like you I retired once, and my BS meter only goes so high, lol. But I appreciate the offer!!!
Dang Anne your letting all my secrets out young lady, lol. You didn’t scare anyone off!!! You call it the way you see it, that’s why we love ya!! I wish I could have made that particular lane work for ya’ll, just wasn’t in the cards. I was NOT going to start something I couldn’t live up too. It was just too iffy on their part. Just the way I do things. Would have loved it if it worked. Ya’ll are great folks.
Bumping, with mutual amore'!
Anything to report, as of late, or is all still in line ?!?!?
Tom asks: 'Added more 'chrome?' ' ROFLMAO! (Bet so, haha!)
Y'all are the BEST, I gotta say, PJ. Cards will fall in your favor, wethinks.
Best always,
~ Anne & Tom ~
A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).
It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.
Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.
I was thinking about this earlier...your own company.
What's the name of your business, PJ?
Steve you should have hollerad at me. We have a nice little town for sure. I’m out in the country with plenty of truck parking…. Greenwood is a bit off the beaten path for sure… Shout out if your coming through sir!!!!
It's been a long time ago (1978 - 1983), but I used to make a delivery in Elberton. Can't remember the name of the place, but it was on 72, just on the edge of town. We used to come across the old narrow bridge from the SC side before the lake was filled, and I can remember driving across the new bridge, looking down on the old one, before it went under water.
Senior chief, the business name is gunsmoke transport. It’s been a royal pain in the butt, however first load is in process….
Wile that was awhile ago. Not anything out there but granite sheds these days. Town hasn’t changed much from what they tell me. I moved there the end of 2012 after I retired. Since then I know it hasn’t changed much at all, and the town elders try very hard to keep it that way.
Good one Senior. Maybe I should put Marshal Dillon on the drivers door??
Here is a shot unloading that little critter yesterday.

Told you, PEEJ !!!
...and the 'Annster' (aka Momma Anne/Annie!) is RIGHT again!
I may not be able to slam 18 gears (yet) but I sure know, what I know! (10's okay, haha!)
All with 'Amore' always!!!

Thanks Pete and I fully understand your reasoning. The Quala off 94 I rarely went to, probably why we never crossed paths. I either used Dana in Summit or Quala in Joliet.
