Is the jist of this story, the OP got his truck stuck in mud, the safety manager tried to pull it out and broke something on the truck, the OP got a preventable and now wants to sue the company? I would assume the OP got a preventable because he got the tractor stuck requiring a pull out, which resulted in something getting broke.
Well OP says the truck was parked by the other driver in a wet spot and was thus stuck when they went to move it. ie night shift parked in mud and it was stuck in the AM.

Always best to avoid the wet spot.

He still tried to move it, should have noticed it was a bad spot beforehand.

Why do people think of suing other people? Maybe just talking things out is just too difficult/?
DAC:
Drive-A-Check Report
A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).
It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.
Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.
