Hey y’all, well Brandon is on his first week with the trainer since Wednesday. They cleared him to drive today and he’s loving every minute of it! I have to admit I miss him like crazy, but we’ll adjust we always do. I work crazy hours at the prison and I’m gone for 5-8 days at a time. Just looking forward to seeing him again!

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Hey there Anne, sorry for the late response! Work has been crazy. Brandon just finished up his first week on his own. I was so happy when he got home lol!

Thanks for saying I look like his daughter lol. I’ve always looked younger than what I am lol.

I've been a trucker's wife almost all my life; I get it! It's busier than one would expect, to be real!

In my former life as a bartender, YES .. i WOULD card you, hahaha!!

First week, one and done...awesome! He's got a few years of driving under his belt; I'm sure he'll be fine. My other half toyed with the idea of going the same route; we just have it REALLY good with the intrastate company he drives for. It's small enough to where his boss people know me, and welcome my calls, yet large enough that he doesn't have to play the 'wait' game, when it comes to any truck/trailer issues. They treat him well, and pay him fair.

Hope this journey for y'all stays smooth, m'lady!!!

I check in here daily.....so if you ever have any specific 'anythings,' hit me (us) up!!

Always best to y'all !!

He’s been driving our entire marriage but never out this long. It’s an adjustment for sure.

I still get carded once in a while lol, I just laugh and show my id and tell them they’re my new best friend lol.

Hahaha!!

You GO, girl !! Enjoy the youth factor while you can, LoL! You wear it well.

Yeah, Tom's had a few jobs where he was out weeks at a time. After 20 plus years, he's finally 'local.' He's been invited to WMPF a few times, actually. Even all that extra money doesn't entice him; I get his point.

The house is finally paid off; just gotta get the taxes paid next month, haha! It's all what it is and what it means to you. I'd be more than fine if Tom wanted to jump on that ship, but...he's content, and I do get it.

Next project, is ME finally getting MY CDL ! I can probably 'almost' pass all the paper tests, but it's been YEARS since I've driven with him; and I don't think I could tolerate him, weeks at a time, as my trainer!! Love him, but . . . ya know?

Keep us in the loop; I'm an email (or chat) away, if you ever get lonely or just want to yap! :)

Best wishes to you both, m'lady; y'all stay safe!
