I just look at my paycheck that week and I get over it. Employees can tell and they do not affect my bank account. People can not like me... I don't care.

Nobody hates on ya, Kearsey! I even follow, and FWD peeps to ya! It's just that ....Some of us in the 'daycab' world, end up in the upper echelon of pay, too! LTL does better, but we aren't far behind.

I'm hoping Tom's company will hire ME, when I'm schooled, tbh! I found them for him, ... a Diamond in the Rough. Kinda like how G'Town has been rocking his future, as well !! Love the versatility!

ps: OP, Harvey's son started on a DG, similar to you. His contact info is IN the profile, jsyk. To each & every, their own. I've already linked you to PapaPig, as well. Best always!

LTL:

Less Than Truckload

Refers to carriers that make a lot of smaller pickups and deliveries for multiple customers as opposed to hauling one big load of freight for one customer. This type of hauling is normally done by companies with terminals scattered throughout the country where freight is sorted before being moved on to its destination.

LTL carriers include:

  • FedEx Freight
  • Con-way
  • YRC Freight
  • UPS
  • Old Dominion
  • Estes
  • Yellow-Roadway
  • ABF Freight
  • R+L Carrier

Yeah Larry. Sometimes You just got to say no. 5 loads a week is ENOUGH! You get paid for the 6th one but is it worth it. Body has to rest or you can get overuse injuries. I also had to learn that the hard way. They will test you and I’m not telling you to not be dependable. But…. Don’t run yourself ragged . I’m sure there are plenty of drivers on your account that only do 3 -4 a week consistently. The boot needs to be up their ass and not yours! I’m happy you are a runner! I knew with a good attitude you would figure it out! Keep the rubber on the asphalt and keep slinging those rolltainers!

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
