And there it is. Knew that was coming. I’ll get the popcorn. And Anne I’ll never underestimate your ability to plug in FAB express lol. You are indeed their biggest fan.

Electric trucks are cleaner, don't pollute the air with toxic diesel fumes.

They are a 'hella' company. I'm pals with the boss folks. If I can get my CDL at KCCC, they will actually 'hire' me.. and have to pay SOMEBODY to train me... (anybody BUT the Tomster..we did that once, haha!! Tanks but NO THANKS!)

In the 20 years Tom's been driving, these last 5.7 have been 'generous.'

Good folks, man. In the 'hoods' of Chi'town... I'll have a Mack Pinnacle out the gate, if I pass my DOT , haha!

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Right! Did the Big Government talking heads tell you this non fact, or did you research this on social media?

“Clean?” Here’s a WaPo article about your “clean” lithium mining. But hey, if it’s just people in Chile, who cares right?

Anyone know of any electric trucking companies hiring in Columbus,OH?

double-quotes-end.png

FAB Express is hiring in that area, but they are all diesel, Mack Pinnacles. Some auto's, some manuals. Might still be a few Int'l's in their fleet in that area; not sure.

Aren't they based out of chicago? I swear I see their trucks around home. Is it all day can home daily stuff?

I’m pretty sure my truck is electric. It has batteries.

Yep, they are based out of Lemont, on Joliet Rd. All Day Cab Home Daily / off weekends. Tom's been with them for about 5 years now. They have barns in OH, IN, IL, and WI . We run out of Ohio. Only had to go to IL for orientation. Don drives for them, too.

Let me know if you need more info.

Day Cab:

A tractor which does not have a sleeper berth attached to it. Normally used for local routes where drivers go home every night.

Electric Vehicle article

Actually you are incorrect about them being cleaner and don't pollute the atmosphere. Read the article.
