Because most carriers don't hire from Florida and we do. Prime has more drivers from Florida than any other states which indeed cause freight issues and getting people home. Also due to low freight rates in FL and having 80% lease ops who don't want to run those loads and complain about how prime is screwing them... I guess they limited it.
They usually do this for a year at a time
You were living in the wrong part of Virginia, Steve. I have two homes there.
😆😂 I didn’t say I couldn’t have a house. I said I couldn’t have this house.
As much as I love Virginia, I’m very happy with my current home state. I just think it’s a little funny when people say Florida sucks; yeah, it’s so bad we’re sucking the population out of other states. 🤔
You're supposed to say "Everyone's right, Florida DOES suck!"
(Keep your secret) *same goes for Virginia*
California could stand to lose a few more million people !! Traffic sucks, like don't anyone work anymore? Or too many just suckin' off the teet of the state.....Can't wait to get outta here July 9th hahahaha 1 extra week stuck here, since original flight got cancelled, and had to book new 1 dang nabbit
Echoing what Kearsey said. I was surprised how many people were from Florida in my Prime Orientation and PSD class. They were freezing their bums off too during February in Springfield, MO.
My Lease/Op trainer commented about not going to Florida for the reasons stated earlier of low paying freight out. He also won’t do floral because drivers often have to unload the freight.
Prime Inc has a CDL training program and the first phase is referred to as PSD. You'll get your permit and then 10,000 miles of on the road instruction.
Prime’s PSD begins with you obtaining your CDL permit. Then you’ll go on the road with a certified CDL instructor for no less than 75 hours of one-on-one behind the wheel training. After training, you’ll return to Prime’s corporate headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, for final CDL state testing and your CDL license.
He also won’t do floral because drivers often have to unload the freight.
This used to be true. Last year our contract changed and we no longer unload our floral loads ourselves.
How are you?

I don't need one. I own 500 feet of the river in the mountains and there's the Atlatic Ocean at the other place.
