located on or near a road with a unique name: Johnny Cake Hollow road. That is a hard name to forget.
This new Blue Beacon opened about 6 or 8 weeks ago. This last time I went to Dodge City to get my load of fresh beef, I washed my truck here. They had started on it and when I went in to have the company's info put in, I got told that wasn't an approved place. So, I paid for it and did get reimbursed, but I called it into the company to be added and everybody got a big laugh at the street name:
Butter and Egg Road, Dodge City, KS
Nothing like 'Getting outta Dodge!' LoLoL!!
Well, you NEED Butter & Eggs to make Johnny Cakes, right?!?!??
At least it wasn't in :

...or you'd still be waiting~ ... (it's in the queue !)

ps: Sorry, RD !! I didn't start it THIS time, haha!!
Yeah that’s the place.
And we’ll never run into each other, I’m solar powered. Lol
Who do you drive for? We probably cross paths a lot.I drive for Barr-Nunn. I'm NE regional so I tend to be up in Massachusetts and Connecticut a lot. Since I spend so much time in the NE I drive nights as much as possible.
Definitely have stayed at the place in Chicopee. If I remember correctly it's a Pride truck stop located on or near a road with a unique name: Johnny Cake Hollow road. That is a hard name to forget.
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
You are correct. And Wilton is one of my favorite places to stop.
RealDiehl, Isn't The Pride Truck Stop actually on Burnett Rd. and Johnny Cake Hollow Rd is across from The Fifties Diner? I used to also run New England weekly and either stayed at The Pride or The Wilton Truck Stop in Gansevoort, NY. Both are class act truck stops in my opinion with excellent restaurants.
Were you a Sopranos fan? Every time I go there the scene where the two gay mobsters are making Johnny Cakes pops in my head.
“I love you, Johnny Cakes”. Lol

Loves open now in Willington, CT! I-84, Ex 71.
A new Love's just opened on I80 in Hazen, PA, exit 81. It's at the top of a big hill and in a location that I will probably rarely if ever need to visit. Every time I go through that area I'm hauling into eastern Pa or headed home and have plenty of fuel. No shortage of trucks stops on I80 in PA though.
