Just so we're clear I should have no problem with them telling me to go to Appleton to pick up my newly truck assigned truck and when I get there there is no truck?

Just so we're clear I should have no problem with them telling me, after I've gone to Appleton, to go to Marshfield to pick up my newly truck assigned truck and when I get there there is no truck?

I'm not demanding a brand new truck, I do have an expectation that if information is conveyed to me that it be accurate. Apparently it is no big deal that I have bills to pay and other obligations in life that I have to put on hold. It appears that venting my frustration and looking for answers equates to me being entitled.

Just to be clear, you are allowed to be a little frustrated. It appears that someone is doing everything they can to get you in a truck.

You could be at home waiting on a call....just chill man....they want you earning as much as you do

It's funny this thread came up again. After whacking the suicidal deer in Edna, which was an outstanding truck for me, they got me a 2022 KW. T680. Absolutely love it. Pays not to be an entitled nitwit.

I volunteered to pay for my own hotel and rental car to grab it, they paid for everything and gave me a full week of layover pay. Was nice and clean inside, I scored a memory foam tempura pedic mattress for it as well.

Not a day goes by that I'm not grateful for the good folks here at TT. If one follows the advice freely given here, it can lead to a successful and happy trucking career.

What's interesting 8s that we are called the negative and toxic ones...yet he is the one bashing a company and industry while needing money. The rest of us are making a lot of money due to expecting our skills in this career.

It's okay to think trucking or a company is not for you. It isn't okay to make that decision before you even started.

THAT is toxic.

I’ve read through this topic and just shake my head. One thing I take away is the OP had/has some unrealistic expectations. I’ll trade my headaches for his any time.

Trucking is very complex and alot of folks have no realistic idea when they start. If they find this site in the beginning they will find that out before they get disgruntled.

Hopefully OP reads through the site instead of just ranting how he has wronged.

DAC:

Drive-A-Check Report

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).

It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.

Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.
