One more thing I’ll add Hydra…
The cleanup effort in Florida is Herculean… trucks, lots of them are necessary. Driver demand will quickly outstrip supply.
Get busy.
Just yesterday my DC put out a message asking for volunteers to head to FL to help in the effort.
No shortage of jobs down there to be sure. Many will likely waive a background check just to get cheeks in seats.
Hydra I think rehashing this, explaining your actions to us is counterproductive to what you must do. You’re not going to change what occurred. Energy wasted.
To satisfy my own curiosity I Googled this:
“Trucking Jobs in Jacksonville FL Area”
I stopped scrolling after page 6. There are opportunities out there for you. Perfect? No. The last job you’ll ever have? Probably not. But a paying driving job will get you back on your feet, enabling forward thinking and reduce the temptation to dwell in the past.
Howdy again, Hydra!!
Best Advice, right there, above.
If I missed the gender, I apologize. Not all females are interested in flatbed (read Gypsum's legals of late..) but if I were 22 I would be!
Matters not; age of 22, correct? Have you checked Cypress Truck Lines, in Jax??? Yes, Flat bed, all kinds.
With the hurricane cleanup, between the guys Clay and/or Pete, mention us (TT!) and you could be mightily surprised.
Even if it's only a temp to hire for starters...so ?!.
Hope ya try;
