Hello Violet W,
Thank you for your great and informative reply. For sure, I had heard a few years back (from some of the people in one of the LGBTQ Facebook groups), that Prime seemed to be LGBTQ friendly. Yet when I asked this question a few weeks ago in the group (to get any up to date 2022, information about LGBTQ friendly trucking companies), nobody replied. Yet it is great to hear that Prime is still a good company to consider.
Most of all, thank you for all of your help and input. It is very helpful, and I sincerely and greatly appreciate all that you shared with me.
Kind regards,
Nick S.

Hello Dennis L,
Thank you so very much for sharing your experience and the very helpful and useful information you have provided. I greatly appreciate it.
What a very kind and endearing story that you have shared. You write in a very cozy and intriguing manner. Yet I am very sorry to hear about your stepson. I hope that the family is hanging in there and doing well.
It was COOL to learn about the trainer compatibility survey you took. I had never heard of those before. Yet that sounds like a great idea and a very valuable tool!
Kind regards,
Nick S.

Hello Chief Brody,
Thank you for sharing what you have, I appreciate it very much and I find it most useful. What you have shared does put my mind a little more at ease. Plus, it makes me feel more and more comfortable, by you sharing what the typical truck driver workplace environment might be like. Back in the mid 80's, I used to work in the manufacturing building/warehouse of a major aerospace company with about 20 men (mostly young men less than 35 years of age, with only one manager) in our section/department of the warehouse building. About 15 of those men were just very rude, crude, nasty, rowdy, very vulgar (with so much profanity and lewd comments tossed out throughout our entire 8 hour shift, whenever the one manager was not around). I tried to be a "team player", so I never said anything to the manager. Plus we did not have HR and standard workplace protection laws like they have today. Working with these guys became so bad, when I had an opportunity to transfer to another shift (where there were 4 managers), I jumped at the chance I got it. So on that shift (with 4 managers), everyone had to act like model employees (with so much supervision walking around during our 8 hour shift). Most of the men acted in a satisfactory manner, yet I often could keep my distance from the troublesome men. Yet working a different shift made a night and day difference, for the better. Yet while I endured this horrible work condition, this was long before major national companies/corporations got on the bandwagon and stopped discriminating against a person’s sex and sexual orientation. Yet at least by having the opportunity to go to another work shift (with 4 managers), overall I was able to do a good job, and I was not constantly stressed-out. Yet due to that one very traumatic experience in my career, I have always stayed clear of working in an environment that was not very diverse with both men and woman. As I have have had my fair share of bad experiences working in a group/department when there is 75% men and 25% women, yet I have also had my fair share of bad experiences working in a group/department when there is 75% women and 25% men. I found as the years went by, I work better in a group/department when the men and women were roughly equal in number. Yet I would like to have one more career before I retire. Being a commercial truck driver has checked off all of the boxes, as long as I can be a LGBTQ person without having to deal with anti-LGBTQ people in my workplace. Since I know that there are a lot of bad people out there, I am okay dealing with them outside of the workplace.
Thanks again for all that you have shared. It has been most helpful.
Kind regards,
Nick S.

Hello Rob T,
Thank you for your words of encouragement. I appreciate it. In my case, I think I would only use the CB radio when I need to, otherwise I would just listen to my favorite radio stations and listen to my favorite music on my iPod, as I try to do a safe and good job and tune out the unnecessary negative people around me.
Kind regards,
Nick S.
