Sorry I havent been around. Been busy getting ready for my test. 3 weeks really? It doesnt seem like its been that long. I test on monday. I am gonna relax this weekend get my hair and nails done. I will let ya'll know how it goes good or bad. Over and out smile.gif

I am still going I have just been ill thank god before I go.. I do have a few questions for you.. when you get there other than the classroom stuff do they just kind of throw you to a truck and expect you to know what your doing? or is it a slow pace type thing? Inquiring minds are eager to know..

No one week is class room. you will drive and back the first day, but its okay they will show you first. Dont stress. Focus on permits first.

I think I pretty much have the permit stuff down however I keep going over it both here and in the manual. Hubby has been quizzing me. I am feeling a bit better about the whole backing thing I do realize I am NOT the only one feeling this way at first.

We saw 2 of them on I-77 today. Its been cool to see them more and more.

Hmmm, I hadn't heard of Celadon until now. I'll have to check out this Quality Drivers site you linked. Glad to hear your schooling is going well! Bet you're getting pretty excited to finally get out there on the road soon. :)

dancing-banana.gifdancing-dog.gifdancing.gif I passed my CDL test. I am so happy! I aint playin when I say Quality drivers is awesome! They are so professional, they work really hard to make sure you get everything you need to get to were I am now. Everyone that got their permit has passed in my class. Those are the one's that stuck it out and worked really hard. I will now learn the 90 degree back and do my Celadon test, when I pass I will begin orientaion monday. Again I am so Happy

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Thank you!! I have been working on my 90 degree back. Monday I will have to test into Celadon. I will have to do a 90 degree, and some driving. I ended my time at Quality Drivers today and Orientaion starts monday. I will also do a Physical for Celadon. I had so much fun doing the 90. wathing my tandoms drag like that was awesome!!
