Any good power points or tools to keep in mind as a first time winter driver?

Sitting here at Little America, WY on my ten after coming from Idaho Falls over the 30.

Hit some snow and ice coming over toward the 80 and got stuck near the port of entry waiting for a nasty accident to clear.

Any Little tidbits would be appreciated!

Be careful with the Jake Brake, keep a good following distance, don't go to fast, and watch the traffic closely bc braking on the ice doesn't always end well with 80,000lbs behind you. Also watch out for road closure signs. My first winter I accidentally missed a sign saying road closed for trucks and I ended up going like 5mph around the icey curves on a 40mph. A lot of dangers in the winter. Stay safe my guy
