Insurance has nothing to do with work history. This is a gov’t requirement. All you need is letters usually 3 from people that knew what you were doing, so tgey know you were not off doing bad things. Recruiters deal with the issue all the time. Not a big deal.

Yep, a couple/few letters will do, I worked off and on, for 15 years for cash, so no real traceable income. With a couple jobs in between, I got 1 boss/personal friend typed a ref. letter, on the companies letter head. Another note from my best bud of 55 years, which I didn't really even need them, afterall. Every company is different, better to have them than not to. So 1 year, really ain't much of a gap........

I know it’s the insurance companies not the truck companies that hire you but how do they feel about a 1 year employment gap? (my mom was sick).
