The Indiana toll road is banning doubles , triples, and oversized loads from the Illinois state line to the Ohio state line. Didn’t catch the times though.

Doubles:

Refers to pulling two trailers at the same time, otherwise known as "pups" or "pup trailers" because they're only about 28 feet long. However there are some states that allow doubles that are each 48 feet in length.

I'm in Phoenix, we'll on the way back to it from socal. It was 68 and sunny with no wind. Will do a couple more out and backs between Phoenix and Socal and then park it in Phoenix for my home time on the 26th. Headed to Cancun.

C’mon, Davy. This was supposed to be all doom and gloom and then you spoil it all with your cheery comment. Lol.

Can’t say I don’t envy your plans. Good timing also.

Current wind chill at the house is -32. The winds haven’t really started kicking up yet so I’ll probably take a quick rip on the sled. The frozen lake is begging for a high speed run

This is just a small portion of I-80 in Wyoming. Sitting on the on-ramp at the I-80/I-84 split at Echo. No sense going further with the roads closed.

Another 9-11 hrs of closures across both EB and WB in Wyoming. 😝

Text message from WYODOT:

The Sweetwater County Sheriff's Department is recommending no unnecessary travel. County road conditions are hazardous, do not attempt alternate routes.

Have a friend that lives on a ranch northwest of Rock Spgs. He's stuck out there...they didn't get much snow but the drifts are blocking the roads.

I'm supposed to deliver today near Greeley CO but it'll be tomorrow sometime. Once the roads open, I will sit another couple hours so that the impatient 4 and 18 wheelers can go get their crashes over with.

I checked the forecast for my destination in MA and it looks like rain starting there on Thursday PM.

I was in Massachusetts this morning. Deliverd a load and had 2.5hrs to pick up another one in Worcester. Made it as far as Willington, CT before running out of hrs. I'm going to get moving South at midnight to try and beat the high winds coming East overnight.

Glad we only have to deal with the wind and rain here. It sounds brutal in the Midwest. Stay safe.

It's summer where I am at for a couple more weeks.

I don't miss the mess right now. Hoping everyone is able to stay safe out there. Remain vigilant and proactive. Trip planning is our friend.

Called in this morning and let em know I'm not running tonight/tomorrow. The dispatcher I talked to seriously asked "why?". I told him take a look outside, what you see out your window isn't even close to the real conditions once you get outside a metro area. They're desperate for people to work extra today apparently short 40 drivers and offering an extra $200. I'm unsure how many of those are because other drivers refusing to go out but it seems most drivers are still heading out. I talked to the manager of our store in town and he said their supplier (AWG) told them Saturday afternoon at the earliest, otherwise it'll be Monday morning before they get a delivery. Fareway shut their trucks down until Monday. We're still allowing those who want to go out to. Oh well, doesn't affect me I'll enjoy staying safe inside my home. Got an attendance point for calling in yesterday. With our attendance policy you're allowed 3 consecutive work days for a single point so I may even take Monday off. No real reason why other than enjoying more time around the holidays with family since I have plenty of vacation time.

I plowed the 5 inches of snow we got this morning, can't even tell. According to the news and 511 app travel not advised on most of I80. It appears I35 isn't terrible at the moment but with the cold Temps they're not even attempting to melt anything. Winds definitely picked up in the last couple hours and won't let up Saturday.
